To Know Christ, To Grow in Christ, To Share Christ

Donation Opportunities

Oak Forest members like to serve our world and in order to do that, donations are needed! Typically there are plastic bins or boxes in the Family Life Center lobby and the Sanctuary narthex for donations. Here are some items that the church collects monthly and at special times throughout the year:
  • Every first Sunday - Grains for Davidson County Crisis Ministry. Two-pound bags of flour and sugar.
  • "Money envelopes" for the 17 church members going on a mission trip to Blackfeet Indian Reservation in November 2018. Take an envelope and write check for the amount on envelope (make out to Oak Forest UMC; memo line: Blackfoot) and deposit in offering plate.
  • On October 7 and 14, the church is collecting Hurricane Florence Cleaning Kits/Buckets via United Methodist Committee on Relief. District Bishop's response to the hurricane and cleaning kit instructions. There is also an opportunity to donate money by check made out to Oak Forest UMC or online. In the check's memo line or online, please earmark as "hurricane relief" or "UMCOR."
  • Collecting individually wrapped candy for Halloween Carnival on October 27. Marked bins are located in Family Life Center lobby and Sanctuary narthex.
